This world gives us so many reasons to feel anxious and on edge. From disease to physical dangers, our minds are constantly considering the many things that can go wrong. Praying for protection is often something that we do with little previous warning because the need to pray for protection is usually a spontaneous one. When we are still growing in our prayer life, we may pray for protection before we travel, for traveling graces. Or we may pray for protection from disease when we have an unknown diagnosis.

God is with you
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

God will protect you from temptation
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13
Now this bible verse isn’t saying that God will keep you from the temptation, because we live in a fallen world, and temptation is all around us, the enemy is constantly seeking ways to destroy us, however, God does promise that he will give you a way out, and that you are 100% capable of bearing it, with his help.

God will deliver you

God will hold and keep you

Heavenly Father, I pray that you would cover my family with your divine protection. Cover my children as they go to and fro. Cover them in their schools. Keep them safe from disease and sickness.
