Lord of Heaven,
There is none like you. You are the King of the heavens and the earth. You are the maker of the Universe. You are the beginning and the end. And in all your majesty, you allow me to dwell in your safety. You are concerned with me, the thoughts and emotions that keep me awake at night, the decisions that plague my focus. You ask me to give all those to you. You take them and give me your peace in return. You fill me with words of love, you sustain me.
You love me with an eternal love, how can I even begin to describe the way you love me. You have given me eternal life, I will not perish, and there is nothing that can separate me from you nor snatch me from the safety of your arms. I rest here now Lord, feeling you pull me close. Feeling you reminding me of the moment I first met you. Reminding me of the childlike wonder that kept me eagerly reaching to be closer to you. Reminding me of the bold courage I had to follow you. Rekindle that fire in me Father. Re-ignite the passion in my heart to follow you with reckless abandon. I want more of you. I want to see your glory, I desire nothing more than your presence.
I will sit under your vine, nothing can make me afraid because you protect me. You are my secure resting place. I am your own possession, I stand available to your bending. I bow down to your searching, as your spirit cleanses me of the roots of rebellion, rejection, and heartache that have threatened to choke out the purpose and promise you placed within me. For you knew me, even in my mothers womb. You called me. In this truth I stand secure. Sure of my place as your beloved child! I praise you for your faithfulness!
